Based on a Meissonier engraving of 1723, another wine cooler of this model was sold from the Meyer de Schauensee Collection of French Silver, Christie's, New York, 18 April 1991, lot 1. A further example is illustrated by Jacques Helft in Nouveau Poinçons, Paris, 1980, p. 235.
