The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Each present beautifully, however upon close examination with a pin, the surface overall is tacky; there would appear to be restoration to the wingtips, tailfeathers, beaks, and many of the applied leaves, vines and blossoms; with clear spray overall making it difficult to ascertain exactly what work has been done; scatttered small nicks and losses primarily to the mayflower petals and leaf edges; the lower portion of the vine as it 'grows' from the socle abbrated; the gilt refreshed in some areas; the socle foot pinned to the ewer.
