The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the full sheet
- a paper loss at the lower left corner (3 x 4,5 cm.)
- numbered in pencil above the printer's blindstamp
- a few, unobtrusive flattened folds at the upper left corner, minor surface dirt at the extreme tips of the corners
- occasional small areas of skinning just outside the platemark in places
- a couple of unobtrusive, pale stains at the upper left sheet edge
- a few, unobtrusive handling creases along the margins
- the upper sheet edge hinged on the reverse, with corresponding creasing at the upper right
- occasional, unobtrusive ink spotting in the margins
