- extensively retouched in pen and black ink and touches of grey (?) wash, particularly some contours of the figures, faces and draperies.
- a short tear at the lower left sheet edge and one at the upper right sheet edge (approx. 12 mm. and shorter).
- two strong vertical printer's creases at right and centre, another oblique printer's crease at left.
- other shorter and softer creases in places.
- backed with a band of laid paper along the sheet edges verso.
