The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall in good condition, the tooth bearing some natural, stable hairline cracks running vertically, the usual wear to the smooth surface of the tooth at the boundary with the bourlotte region, revealing a rougher texture beneath in some areas. The root with sporadic pinpoint holes across its surface, some possibly entry points for blood vessels, and some stable, natural cracks running across its breadth, the largest approximately 7cm. long and 3mm. wide. The serrated edges of the tooth in an excellent state of preservation and displaying fine detail.
