19 volumes, 12mo. Mostly contemporary morocco bindings, largely red but with two volumes in citron and one in inlaid morocco by Roger de Coverly; some with gilt-stamped French armorials. Provenance: individual volumes from the libraries of Nicolas Fouquet, Chateau d’Atis-sur-Onge, Edgard Stern (confiscated from him by the Nazi authorities following their occupation of Paris after May 1940 and eventually restituted to Mme Edgard Stern; family sale, Drouot, 27 June 1988, lot 147), William Foyle, and others.
