Festival book documenting the celebration of the Peace of Aix-la-Chapelle held at Versailles by Louis XIV in 1668. The celebration "sought to demonstrate balance in the king's administration by returning to the gardens at Versailles and providing entertainment and beautiy for his subjects...water was a special feature for this festival; fountains filled with scuptures of dragons and dolphins spewed bubbling jets" (The Edible Monument).
