The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the subject is generally in very good condition
- trimmed to or just outside of the borderline above and below
- the left sheet edge fractionally trimmed and remargined by approximately 1-2 mm. and made-up with pen and ink, some associated short repaired tears
- the right sheet edge trimmed to the borderline and partially remargined by 1 mm. at centre and made-up with pen and ink
- the lower borderline enhanced in places with pen and ink
- a short 15 mm. repaired tear at the lower left sheet edge, a short 12 mm. repaired tear at the right sheet edge below the shelf
- a short 6 mm. repaired tear and associated small made-up area in the floor above the monogram
Otherwise as described in the catalogue and generally in good condition.
