The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In overall fairly good restored condition overall.
With the inevitable knocks, marks, losses, scratches and shrinkage cracks, consistent with age and use.
The giltwood mouldings have been extensively restored and reattached.
Each cresting with losses which have been gilded over and evidence of historic, but apparently inactive woodworm.
One with remains of pasted newspaper to the back of cresting and evidence of historic woodworm losses, particularly to the hanging holes.
The plate rather loose in aperture which would benefit from securing.
The other mirror with loose cresting which would benefit from securing.
The plates in good condition and artificially (i.e. decoratively) foxed.
Structurally secure and ready to hang.
