Lot Essay

In the 1960s, Zenith introduced a tool watch for the Italian Air Force or "Aeronautica Militare Italiana". Featuring the classic traits of military-issued chronographs, these were made according to the Italian Military’s “Cronometro da Polso” or “CP-2” specifications. They were supplied to Rome-based retailer A. Cairelli, then the official supplier to the military.Though initially intended for military issue, they were also eventually sold to civilians.
