The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pencil (recto) ; black chalk and pencil on tinted paper (verso). The reverse of the sheet is hinged at the upper corners to a support. The left edge serrated corresponding to the sheet being removed from the artist's sketchbook. Some soft creases in places along the edges. Some pale light-staining with associated small spots of foxing in places. Some mat-staining along the left edge. One small tear to the centre of the left edge and a further one to the upper edge. A pale stain towards the centre of the left edge. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Graphite (recto) ; pierre noire et graphite sur papier teinté (verso). Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières sur les coins supérieurs à un support. Le bord gauche est irrégulier ce qui correspond au fait que l'oeuvre ait été retirée d'un carnet à dessins. Des légères froissures le long des bords. Légère insolation de la feuille associée à des petites piqûres par endroits. Léger brunissement dû au montage du bord gauche. Une petite déchirure au centre du bord gauche et une autre sur le bord supérieur. Une tache pâle vers le bord gauche. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
