Christie’s Antiquities sales will offer a strong selection of works of art from across the ancient Mediterranean world, including Greece, Italy, Egypt and the Near East, dating from the Neolithic period through to 1000 A.D.

We are honored to offer the Collection of James and Marilynn Alsdorf as a single-owner sale, comprising of over 60 objects that adorned their Chicago home for over the past 30 years. Highlights include a haunting Egyptian painted Fayum portrait of a boy, a Roman marble torso of a goddess, an impressive Roman marble portrait of the young Caracalla before he becomes emperor, and a small Assyrian gypsum relief panel featuring two attendants.
