The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good decorative condition overall. Some general fading and discolouration overall, consistent with age and exposure to light. Some opening along the warps. Losses to the silks. As catalogued, reduced in size. The tapestry has been cut at the upper edge and folded over at the upper border and sewn. The top and bottom borders are later. There are other cuts to the side borders where the height has been altered and they have been shortened to correspond. Several areas of restorations which have been well done and blend in well with the surrounding areas. Later outer brown slip at the top and bottom edges, fraying places.
