Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture. The taller vase: -There are two cracks which appear to be casting flaws. -There are two small patches of repair to the mouth, one visible from the interior and the other visible from the exterior. The other vase: -There are two tiny holes to the base, and a small chip to one edge of the foot rim. -Parts of the vase appear to be covered in paint/lacquer which has not been removed for inspection. Both vases: -There are dents, nicks, scratches, and general age-related surface wear.
