TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
horse:
- some expected glaze flakes
- a few small chips, including to the tail and forehead and feet
dog:
- the ears may have been replaced
- the hind legs might have been reworked and the tail as well as the end of the base are probably trimmed off
one straw-glazed figure:
- appears to be in overall good condition
the other figure:
- repaired break around and above the figure’s folded hands
both figures:
- expected glaze flakes and surface wear consistent with age
