Kitae [forging pattern]: mokume-hada with ji-nie
Hamon [tempering pattern]: coarse nie-deki of gunome midare with long wide ashi, some nijuba near the kissaki on omote, and sunagashi
Boshi [tip]: kaen boshi
Nakago [tang]: ubu, ha-agari, single mekugi-ana
Habaki [collar]: gilt copper
Machi-haba and saki-haba (blade width at two separate points): 3.1 cm. (machi) and 2.2 cm. (saki)
Koshirae [mounting]: a 'straw' lacquered scabbard, menuki of squirrels among grape vine in gilt, iron fuchi-kashira carved with ho-o with gilt details, kozuka with grasshopper, iron Heianjo type tsuba pierced with mon [family crests] and with brass inlay
