Christie’s British & European Art online auction in London features a curated selection of pictures representing more than 150 years of art history from the heart of Europe. The auction encompasses a range of movements from Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite, 19th Century European & British Impressionist Art at opportune price points.
Highlights include a selection of Symbolist works by Lucien Levy-Dhurmer and Fernand Khnopff, paintings from the Barbizon school, a collection of works from the descendants of Edward Burne-Jones, topographical views of Venice, Paris and St Ives along with several British Impressionist pictures. Artists include Sir Alfred Munnings, George Clausen, John Atkinson Grimshaw, Laura and Harold Knight, John Singer-Sargent, William Russell-Flint, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Félix Ziem, Vilhelm Hammershøi and Eugene de Blaas and many more.
