A village in the snow

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas.
The canvas has not been lined, there is a very small repair visible to the lower right quadrant (as seen from the reverse).
The paint layer appears to be secure and stable. The painted surface has been cleaned in the past and has only very minor surface dirt, with varnish discoloration to the extremities (under frame).
There is a small dent visible relating to the aforementioned repair.
Examination under UV light shows no apparent retouching.
Overall the picture presents very well in an ornate period style gilt frame.
