The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-There are nicks and chips and very minor associated losses to the relief decoration, most notably to the border on the interior.
-There are areas of touch-up to the lacquer.
-There is some age splitting.
-There are some minor losses to the lacquer on the base.
-The black lacquer on the base has probably been relacquered with associated minor age splitting.
