Lot Essay
The Rolex GMT-Master was the first Rolex with dual time and debuted in 1955. This model was developed especially for pilots so they could keep track of home time while traveling. The reference 16700 was in production from 1988 to 1999. This example features the iconic "Pepsi" bezel that was designed to help the wearer distinguish between day and night. This particular example is in excellent condition and appears to never have been worn. To find a discontinued sport Rolex in this condition is getting harder every day. This watch would be a great addition to a watch collection.
