Lot Essay
Rebecca's Pick Over the years Rolex has created many different dial designs with a variety of materials. Rolex experiments with many different hard-stones like the present example with Tiger-eye dial. Due to the fragile nature of the stone and high manufacturing cost many of these hard-stone dials break during production and therefore these models are highly sought after by collectors. The inside of the case back is stamped "6900." This particular example features a beautiful Rolex Oyster rivet bracelet stamped with a "C" on the clasp, indicating it is from circa 1978. The combination of a Tiger-eye dial with gold Oyster bracelet gives this watch a great look for dressy and casual occasions.
