Eric's Pick Vianney Halter revealed the Deep Space Tourbillon in 2013 and it was awarded the prize for Innovation that year at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. The Vianney Halter Deep Space Tourbillon is unlike any other timepiece in past or present production. This watch was designed with inspirations from science fiction media such as Star Trek and works by Jules Verne. The watch is comprised of a 46mm case, a large domed crystal, and a triple axis tourbillon movement that is fully visible. The hour and minute hand are designed in the traditional fashion where the short hand is hours and long hand is minutes, however the minute hand is jumping, adding to the complication of this innovative timepiece. This watch was made in very limited quantities and this may be the first one to come to market since its release. To find one in this condition and for an estimate well below the approximate retail price of $200,000 is an exceptional opportunity.
The case is in excellent condition with very little signs of wear. The dial and hands are original and in excellent condition. The deployant buckle has a couple light surface marks but otherwise shows little signs of wear. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch.
The condition of lots sold can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair and wear and tear. The nature of the lots sold means that they will rarely be in perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
