The knot count measures approximately 7V x 8H per cm. sq.
The colours remain rich overall. Much of the silk pile rests a couple of millimetres above the knot collar and has a light patina. There are localised areas of natural corrosion mainly within the beige, light blue and red silk pile. Here the pile rests at or below the knot collar revealing the structure beneath which creates a relief effect within the design. The rug has a soft and flexible handle. The reverse shows a few raised or slightly popped warps but these are not significant and have not weakened the structure. The selvages are lacking in small areas and require securing but have been backed with a material tape for stability. Each end on the reverse is secured with a material tape, one with small metal loops stitched along the upper end for display purposes. The fringes are missing for the most part at each end.
