Christie’s is delighted to present Greta Stroeh’s collection of Jean Arp sculptures, works on paper, lithographs and etchings, alongside exceptional works by his contemporaries including Sophie Taeuber-Arp, Alberto Magnelli and Joan Miró. Greta Stroeh was a crucial figure in the creation of the Arp Foundation in 1979. This ensemble was built upon her friendship with the artist and a discerning taste for modern art.


Christie’s a plaisir de mettre en vente la collection Greta Stroeh qui comprend une petite centaine d’œuvres de Jean Arp aux côtés des exemples de Sophie Taeuber-Arp, d’Alberto Magnelli et de Joan Miró. La plupart des lots sont des œuvres sur papier, lithographies ou eaux-fortes. Ce fonds d’œuvres d’Arp, dont le lot phare est un torse en bronze, appartenait à Greta Stroeh qui a participé à la création de la fondation Arp à Clamart en 1979.
