Cette commode est à rapprocher d'un modèle similaire coonu et estampillé de Godefroy Dester, présenté en vente chez Christie's à Paris, le 17 décembre 2007, lot 761. De forme et de structure identiques, seuls les bronzes de la ceinture et le marbre diffèrent entre les deux modèles.

Good overall condition. The illustrations published on the website catalogue are accurate. There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches, shrinkage cracks and rubbing due to age and use. Veneer : there are some minor losses to the veneer, especially to the sides and the upper parts. The veneer is slightly rubbed to the top of the drawers, as expected. Lacquer : There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and rubbing. There are some minor losses, especially to the right panel on the front. European lacquer : the european lacquer is slightly rubbed and with some minor losses and shrinkage cracks due to the age and use, especially to the gilt wood. Gilding : the bronze elements are slightly rubbed with some signs of tarnishing throughout. There are some minor signs of verdigris and black spots, especially to the bronze element under the front. The framing elements are later. The bronze elements are re-gilded. Marble : there are some minor inevitable chips especially to the edges. There are some minor marks and scratches to the surface as expected. Dusty to the edges and corners. The front right foot has been restored. The two back uprights have been reinforced.
