Each with four frosted glass dishes supported by a central column surmounted by a putto bearing a laurel wreath, on a circular base with three dancing maidens, three stamped 'THOMIRE A PARIS', the glass dishes replaced

Lot Essay

Pierre-Philippe Thomire (1751-1843), maître fondeur-ciseleur in 1772.

Related etageres by Thomire with the same bacchantes decorating the base but with two rather than three tiers were formerly in the collection of King Umberto II of Italy and sold Robert de Balkany Rome & the Côte d’Azur, Christie's London, 22-23 March 2017, lot 576.
