The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The globes are in decorative condition and could benefit from sympathetic restoration as desired. The mahogany stands with some fading as visible in catalogue images. As stated in the cataloguing, the compasses are apparently original although the glass covers are replacements. There are scattered tiny losses throughout and visible restored areas to the gores, most notably to North America on the terrestrial globe. Some age cracks and old restorations to the north and south poles of both globes where the meridian rings attach, commensurate with age and use. The horizon bands on both globes with some small losses and lifting to the applied maps throughout. Detailed condition images can be provided upon request.
