Sale Overview

From the Bayreuth collection we are presenting an important royal Louis XV silver seal-box, mark of Claude Deharchies, Paris, 1760-1761 designed to hold Louis XV’s seal, a unique example of its kind finely engraved with on one side the Royal arms and on the other the king’s monogram. Also, from a private Italian collection we are including a fine George II gold-mounted lapis-lazuli necessaire, by John Pyke, London, 1750-1760 quiver-shaped, rococo cage-work framing panels of lapis-lazuli, the cover set with a watch and opening to reveal implements.
