The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the full sheet
- the printed surface in very good condition, with no apparent scuffs
- some soft handling creases in places, mainly in the margins and a slightly harder handling crease in the grey at lower left (mainly visible in a raking light)
- a pinpoint white accretion above the stall, and a tiny brown horizontal line in the left margin
- in the lower margin, there are three areas of unobtrusive white pigment(?) or possible moisture marks
- hinged in two places at the upper sheet edge on the reverse, with associated indentations showing through on the front at the upper sheet edge
