Contemporary Edition celebrates cutting-edge prints and multiples by established artists and sought after new talents working in the late-20th century to the present day. This season the auction has a strong focus on works by eminent British artists, including a number of exciting and rare works published by The Paragon Press such as Grayson Perry’s monumental The American Dream and The Map of Nowhere which are offered in colourways never seen before at auction. A selection of works by Damien Hirst offer an overview of his central themes of spots, butterflies and skulls explored and revisited throughout his career. A grouping of works by Banksy include exciting colourways of Choose Your Weapon and Soup Can.
Further highlights include Christopher Wool’s complete set of My House, Yayoi Kusama’s Citrouille (I), and a large selection of works by STIK, including colourways of Piggyback (Onbu), Walk and Liberty. There are also several exciting recent editions by artists including INVADER, Pejac, KAWS, Caroline Walker, David Shrigley and Jadé Fadojutimi.
