The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The painting presents well on the wall and is in ready to hang condition having undergone restoration in the past. The original canvas has been relined with a second canvas to the reverse, which is providing an even structural support. Some of the original impasto (raised) brushwork used to describe the flower petals has been a little impacted (flattened), which would have occurred during the lining process. Some areas of the background are a little abraded. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals quite extensive retouching to the background and strengthening to some of the tendrils in the still life, however, the flowers remain largely untouched.
