Sale Overview
It is with great honour that Christie’s announces an auction of exceptional wines direct from the distinguished cellars of Domaine Faiveley. This unprecedented offering presents a remarkable range of lots, including a selection of rare bottles from the library cellar spanning back to the legendary Musigny 1908, exclusive verticals of all their Grand Cru holdings, and much-coveted, limited release large formats. This magnificent collection celebrates the 200-year anniversary of one of Burgundy's most esteemed domaines.
In 1825, Pierre Faiveley established what would grow into one of Burgundy’s most significant domaines. Through two centuries of dedication and expertise, the domaine has grown to encompass over 120 hectares of the region’s finest vineyards — boasting an impressive portfolio of 12 Grand Crus and 22 Premier Crus across Burgundy’s finest terroirs.
This bicentennial auction represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for collectors to acquire over a century of wines with extraordinary provenance and rarity. Each bottle is testament to the domaine’s enduring commitment to excellence and their deep understanding of Burgundy’s greatest vineyards. The auction will be open for viewing in October and live for bidding on 5 November. If you have any questions, please contact our Wine department.
