The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The surface is stable and clean. The canvas has been glue relined. Craquelure is visible in the white pigments and in a six inch area in the upper left corner. There is scuffing at the extreme edge in the upper left and lower right corners, due to frame abrasion. Under UV light, there are thin lines of inpainting to address craquelure in the dog and upper left corner. There are a few small spots of retouching at the extreme edges to address frame abrasion.
