Christie’s Wine Department in America is pleased to announce, Fine and Rare Wines Online: Featuring the Exceptional Collection of Danny and Donna Arnold.

Hollywood multi-hyphenates, Danny & Donna Arnold met on the set of The Ford Show, a 1950s variety show. Throughout their marriage, they collected art and wine with a passion for quality. Danny’s career soared in the 1960s and 1970s, as he collaborated with Jerry Lewis on films, and worked on hit television shows like “That Girl,” “Bewitched,” and his passion project, “Barney Miller.”

Along the way, the Arnolds traveled extensively in Europe and California, developing their taste for wine, and assembling a custom-built cellar filled with the best of Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Italy. This remarkable collection, which was initially shared with family and friends, is now coming to the market, a reflection of a decades long love-affair with fine wine.

Highlights from the collection include stellar selections from the superb 1985 vintage including Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, La Tâche and Romanée-Conti. Also from Burgundy are rare 80s vintages of Louis Jadot Chevalier-Montrachet and Joseph Drouhin Montrachet. From Bordeaux, there are fantastic cases of Lafite, Lynch-Bages, and Mouton Rothschild. From Italy: Gaja, Sassicaia, and Tignanello.

Beyond the Arnold Collection, the sale is Bordeaux collector’s dream, full of classic vintages from every First Growth and St. Émilion Classé 'A' as well as Le Pin, Petrus and Yquem. For Burgundy lovers, on offer are rare bottles from Coche-Dury, DRC, Leroy, and de Vogüé.

Lovers of California Cabernet can rejoice with offerings of the Napa Valley’s most collectible cult wines: Bryant, Dalla Valle, Dunn, Harlan, and Screaming Eagle, with many being offered in large formats or in their original wooden cases. For those seeking out the sweet and sparkling, there are excellent selections of Champagne, Madeira, Port, Sauternes, and Tokaji.
