Christie’s Wine Department in America is pleased to announce Fine and Rare Wines Online: Featuring the Time Capsule Collection of Undisturbed Legends of the Côte d’Or

An ode to Burgundy’s greatest producers this sale features one of the most exceptional private collections of Burgundy to appear at auction. From the cellar of an esteemed collector, The Time Capsule Collection is a veritable roll call of great producers. Featured producers include – Domaines Rousseau, G. Roumier, J.F. Mugnier, Dujac and de Vogüé. Featured vintages include 1985, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1995, 1999 and more recent vintages 2008 and 2009. What sets the collection apart is the provenance, all purchased on release from either the Burgundy Wine Company or direct from the producer’s door. Storage has been impeccable having been kept with care in a purpose-built, temperature and humidity-controlled cellar, the exceptional condition of each wine is testament to the care given to their preservation – levels and labels are perfect. This is truly an undisturbed cellar of epic quality.

Elsewhere in the sale we feature emerging Burgundian producers - the new kids on the auction block – highlights include wines from Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, Caroline Morey, Taupenot-Merme and Sylvain Pataille from classic recent vintages.

The auction concludes with a fine collection of Bordeaux featuring Petrus from the 1984, 1985 and 1986 vintages and a rare case of Le Pin 1986. California is well represented with multiple vintages of the cult classic Screaming Eagle including an ultra-rare bottle of the first vintage 1992 and a rare forty-one vintage vertical of Opus One including every vintage from 1979 to 2019.
