The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined outside its wooden strip frame, which is attached to a spacer and the side edges of the canvas. Faint wear is to the corner-tips and a few very faint hairline drying cracks are the upper vertical turning edges. A pinpoint white accretion is below center near the left edge, and another pinpoint one is near the center lower edge in a blue passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
