The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound. There are a few firing cracks in places, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There is a minor loss to the right vase to the blue passage below the handle. There are a few hairline cracks in places, most notably to the pink passages. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be a passage that fluoresces in a manner consistent with retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
