The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. The sheet is irregular in shape, presumably in keeping with the artist's choice of support. Minor wear is to the edges and corners, most notably to the upper edge. A small spot of discoloration is to the right upper edge. A few pinpoint accretions are visible occasionally near the edges, and a minute one is right of center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.

The condition of lots sold can vary widely due to factors such as age, previous damage, restoration, repair, and wear and tear. The nature of the lots sold means that they will rarely be in perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
