As part of Asian Art week in New York, Christie’s presents Gods and Guardians, an online auction of unique artworks in all mediums, from the ancient region of Gandhara, India, Nepal, Tibet, China and Southeast Asia. Highlights from the sale include Indian and Tibetan paintings, bronze Buddhist sculptures and Gandharan stone friezes, with dates spanning from the 2nd to the 19th century. With over 60 lots of affordable pieces, starting from $800 and many sourced from private American collections, the sale features something for those starting their collecting journey and more established collectors alike.
