Following the success of auctions and single owners sales in 2022, the Handbags & Accessories department is delighted to announce its upcoming Paris auction. Handbags Online: The Paris Edit is offering a curated selection of the most rare, desirable and sought-after handbags and accessories. The sale, featuring pieces from Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Dior and more, is live for bidding from 12 April and closing in two sessions on 25 & 26 April.

The auction features an Exceptional Matte White Niloticus Crocodile Himalaya Diamond Birkin 30 with 18K White Gold & Diamonds Hardware. With its highly precious hardware, as well as unique and spectacular colour gradient, mimicking the majestic, snow-capped mountain range, the Himalaya Diamond collection is the most valuable sought after handbag in the world.

The Himalaya collection has become the must-have Hermès handbag for collectors. Available only in Niloticus Crocodile, the sale features both Kelly and Birkin styles in a selection of sizes.

One of Hermès' latest ‘Holy Grail’ bags, the Faubourg Birkin, modeled after the façade of the Hermès flagship in Paris, was first introduced in a very limited edition at the end of 2019. Originally making its debut in two colorways, Hermès soon after introduced the White Faubourg Birkin and the Black Faubourg Birkin models. For the first time in Europe, the Black Faubourg is coming to auction.

The So Black Collection is one of the most desirable limited edition collections on the market, designed by Jean Paul Gaultier and produced in 2010. The department is delighted to feature a few select pieces from this iconic collection, as well as the Rare Shearling Kelly 35 with Palladium Hardware from Jean Paul Gautier’s last collection at Hermès.

Christie’s is thrilled to present a special collection of handbags from a private collector, which comprises 67 lots of the sale. Highlights include collectible and precious Hermès handbags, and limited editions from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Fendi.

From within the selection, the most desirable models are featured in precious materials such as crocodile, alligator, lizard, and ostrich. Recent limited editions include A Verso Mini Kelly and Birkin 25, A Cargo Birkin 25, An In & Out Birkin 25, the Colormatic Birkin, as well as an exciting collection of accessories, decorative objects, porcelain and homeware.
