Christie’s Paris is delighted to present Handbags Online: The Paris edit, an online auction showcasing an exceptional curation of the most rare and desirable handbags, from 31 October to 14 November 2023, showcasing Hermès, Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and more.

This Autumn season, we are thrilled to partner with Gucci to present three exceptional and unique Made-to-Treasure Bamboo bags from the Gucci Vault, each exploring Italian artistry and offering a different take on the iconic bamboo handle. As a tribute to the brand's heritage, the first bag is an exceedingly rare and desirable representation of the classic model, featuring the original beige and ebony GG canvas from the 1960s. The second one, in alignment with the brand's commitment to sustainability, boasts a hand-crafted Murano glass handle adorned with a hand-painted Herbarium print. Lastly, the third creation (estimated at €150,000 - €200,000) is the most exquisite, valuable, and precious Bamboo bag ever created with an 18-carat gold handle encrusted with approximately 1,000 diamonds, making it an exclusive collector's piece.

From within the selection, the sale is featuring an Himalaya Kelly 28 and an Himalaya Birkin 30, exotic Mini Kelly, exotic Birkin & Kelly. Recent limited editions include the Picnic Birkin, the Picto Kelly Doll, the Kelly en Désordre, the Padded Kelly, the Shadow Birkin 25, the Birkin 3 in 1, but also highly desirable minis such as Mini Kelly 20 & 25, and Birkin 25. Lifestyle is represented with Hermès homeware and a bicycle, a Chanel Be@rbrick & Dior Skis.

A selection of highlights offered in this sale will be exhibited at Christie’s in Paris from 4 to 8 November.
