The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Oil and pencil on paper laid down on canvas. Not lined. Not varnished. Artist's pinholes at each corner and at various places along the edges. There is residue of old adhesive at various places along the upper and lower edges. Some fine craquelure in places to the impasto, predominantly in the red pigment in the upper left corner. Examined under ultra-violet light: nothing shows. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
