Lot Essay

Inspired by a visit to Porto in December, the artist wanted to capture the tranquil, and somewhat eerie, nature of a vineyard in the winter.

In a fast paced, digital world, Chanel has always found solace in the act of putting pen to paper. She loves the intricate detail afforded by pen and ink, and the painstaking but incredibly rewarding end result. She spent her summers surrounded by Scandinavian nature and woodland creatures, which no doubt influenced her favourite subject matter to draw, as expressed here.
