Inamura Daikaku Masanori killing the monstrous witch cat of Koshin-yama.

The 1827-30 series 'One of the 108 Heroes of the Popular Water Margin' proved so popular that it is thought the publisher sought to capitalise on its success by producing another similar series - 'One of the Eight Hundred Heroes of the Water Margin of Japan'. See also lots 8 and 35.
