Christie’s Japanese Department is delighted to announce an online-only auction of Japanese woodblock prints, including a private English collection of prints by the ingenious artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861). This is a rare opportunity to acquire some of his best and rarest designs. Other collections in the sale feature works by many of the most famous artists including Kitagawa Utamaro (1753?-1806), Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1848) and Kawase Hasui (1883-1957).
