The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable marks, scratches, knocks, shrinkage, scuffing and wear consistent with age and use. With shrinkage cracks, particularly to the top, dentilled frieze, edges of drawers, backboard and drawer liners and minor shrinkage to the aprons (some with some old restoration).
Small chips to the extremities and to the top edge of the right drawer in particular. A large replacement repair to top left edge of the right drawer. The left drawer slightly askew and with a crack to the bottom right edge, which would benefit from some minor repair.
A natural inclusion to the timber on the front right leg.
Later handles.
As stated with extensive restorations, the feet all replaced, the back edge replaced and all back legs replaced.
The patination worn and scuffed overall.
Evidence of old, apparently inactive, woodworm to the backboard and drawers.
A few later internal blocks.
Some verdigris to the brass handles and escutcheons.
In country house condition.
