Robert Lee Morris (1947- ), is an American jewellery designer who first exhibited his work Sculpture to Wear in New York in the early 1970s at New York gallery owner Joan Sonnabend’s art jewellery offshoot at the Plaza Hotel. He later opened Art Wear Gallery, first on the Upper East Side and later relocating the business to SoHo, where he attracted a celebrity clientele. He has collaborated or designed collections for many fashion designers including Donna Karan, Geoffrey Beene and Karl Lagerfeld and his work is characterised by organic and often sculptural forms.
