Laugh now but one day we’ll be in charge celebrates editions created in the 21^st Century by leading artists and sought after new talents. The sale will predominantly feature works by Banksy, including exciting works from the Gross Domestic Product range launched in 2019, alongside prints by eminent artists such as Damien Hirst, STIK, Tunji Adeniyi Jones, Ayako Rokkaku, Jeff Koons, Tracey Emin, Yinka Shonibare, Patrick Hughes and David Shrigley. The sale will also feature exciting multiples by KAWS, Josh Sperling, Daniel Arsham and others.

This auction format, cheekily titled in reference to one of Banksy’s most well-known screenprints, situates Banksy within the wider context of artists producing editions in the 21st century. The auction builds on the success of our previous dedicated Banksy auctions I can’t believe you morons actually buy this sh*t, the last iteration of which set the record total for any sale dedicated to the artist’s works, achieving £4.46 million ($6.1 million).
