The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This painting presents as clean overall. There are areas of pigments loss mostly below the figures in the floral field area with some floral sprays being affected. There is a large area of loss below the lady which has been repainted. The sky is rubbed overall and stained with the upper right corner retouched. The pigments of the sitters are very strong with sharp contrast overall. The margin are lightly tarnished but in good condition overall.
