Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The painting appears to have been lightly varnished. The layer of varnish has slightly crackled on the lower part of the face (chin, front of the neck and moustache). There is some very minor crackling and flaking on the hands. The two-row pearl necklace is flaked and only its lower part remains. The surface is well preserved otherwise with only minor rubbing of the green ground and floral carpet. It is professionally mounted on card.
